I haven't had much on my brain except for one word: DOG. We are getting a dog this weekend! I have been waiting for almost two weeks to find out if we would get to be the lucky new owners of a black, Terrier mix, one year old, female dog. It was a hard decision for the family because they were hoping to give her to someone who lived near by. Did I mention this dog is in Arizona?! The kids are really sad to see her go, but I promised to send them lots of pictures and updates! Hooray, we're getting a dog!
DISNEYLAND RESORT CAST MEMBER FLASHBACK PRODUCTION
Janelle and I were invited to attend a charity event in Disney's California Adventure. Every year, cast members from different departments get together and compete for entertainment awards. Tickets are only open to Cast Members, but they raise a lot of money for charity.
Believe it or not, but I had actually never been. Maybe my department just wasn't that in to it? It's really fun though to see people from attractions or janitorial or scheduling perform next to the paid entertainers of Disney. So if you're "too short" to be the next Cinderella,
or missed a step at the parade audition, you can always be in Flashback! There was definitely some competition for those dancers! The show was hilarious. They poke fun at all things Disney that only Cast Members would get. The theme was "Class of 55" so
four groups did skits about the original four Disneyland lands. Although we enjoyed Fantasyland's group the best (they incorporated scenes from Harry Potter, Hocus Pocus, Beauty and the Best, Wicked), Frontierland won. But I think Mickey was the star! As soon as he came out to present the check to the charity, everyone started yelling "Mickey!!!" See even employees still love him =)And now more Disney related stuff....
Janelle and I finally got to play in Disneyland! We randomly went at like 8pm at night. It was crazy busy so we found ourselves enjoying the Carousel! We kept going on it over and over and over like little kids. What can I say, we're easily amused! Meet our
favorite horses! Bells and Nautica! They actually have real names, but we changed them. In fact "Bells" was dedicated to Julie Andrews. Yes I know useless trivia =) We also checked out the newly reopened Great Moments
With Mr. Lincoln, complete with new animatronics. Pretty amazing.
Here's just a cute shot of the boys... oh brothers! They were pretty happy because they just saw "Wolfman".
The Black Cow restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat in CA. It's super cute inside, as if they put a restaurant in a house. MMmm Mmmm. We took Nathan there for dinner.

Seriously...I noticed your comments on my blog and thought, why isn't she blogging though because your blog hadn't updated on my list...then...I remembered. YOu went private! (insert forehead slap here). It has been fun catching up with you. You are so darn lucky to be going to Disneyland so much. What a dream!...and with your best friend. So fun! I really, really like your new do. It suits you really well. You are so gutsy. I need to update my cut somehow but I am too chicken to try.
I am curious to know why you didn't like Lightening Thief. I am reading the book right now and it is a pretty interesting and quickly moving read, but if the movie stinks...just curious.
We ate our way through Valentine's day too. I like the heart shaped doughnuts. Jared would love that. Good idea. I will have to remember that for next year.
:) Aaah, you are so lucky to get to do so many fun Disney things! I can't wait to start taking my boys there. Maybe in a year or two when they can really enjoy it!
