Arizona Renaissance Festival

Believe it or not, I have never been to the Renaissance Festival in Arizona. Never. I know a lot of people went in high school, so I don't know how I missed it. But I did. And my parents never took me growing up. I think that's why I enjoy them so much now. Every time I'd go to one though, Janelle would always say "You should go to the one in AZ. It's the best!". So this year, I finally had the opportunity. We were already going to be in AZ to pick up our dog and to go to my sister's CD release party (see below post). So, Steven, Jan-Michael and I drove out to the boonies and went to the Renaissance Faire. I guess it must have been the first nice Saturday since it had opened (rain), so it was pretty crowded. Since there were so many people, the people who were dressed up seemed few and far between. I wish we had been able to get there when it opened (there was traffic getting in. Traffic?!) and had more time to see all the shows. We just stuck to what other people told us to see... 1-Ded Bob Show, 2-Wylde Man Show. On our way out we caught an acrobat who walked on a fire-lit tight rope. Now that I have been to three different Renaissance Faires in three different states, I will say that Arizona was the largest. It was double the size of CA's and triple the size of PA's. Fantastic! It ended up being a very warm day, so we were running to buy water and gelato every chance we got. Whew. I don't know how people were wearing costumes that day! Anyway, I have now been to the AZ Renaissance Festival! Whoo hoo!

I love the AZ Renaissance Festival! It is the only one I have been to though. I didn't realize it was bigger than what other states had going.

I am so excited for you to get your dog! Please post pictures. :)
