Farewell Soldier

Two weeks ago, Janelle and I headed to AZ once again. This time, we were fortunate enough to skip the bad luck and made it to AZ with the car in one piece. It was a super short trip to basically wish Kato, Janelle's brother, farewell.
I started my trip off with a little craziness and chopped off my hair! I had not seen my favorite stylist since before I moved to PA, so I saved all the work just for him! Here's another view of my before and after...

From the salon, I caught a bite to eat with Steven at Keegan's. Ever been there? Their cheesey chips are to die for! Anyway, super fun to catch up with Steven, just the two of us. From there, I headed straight for the farewell party. I was a little late, so when I walked in the door everyone was crowded in the hallway. Suddenly ther were shouts of "Krysta! You cut your hair! Why didn't anyone tell me she was cutting her hair?!", followed by lots of laughter! The house was packed full of people who love Kato. The three roomies were together again too- Janelle, Domonique and I. It was definitely weird "visiting" Domonique. We miss her! Kato's farewell was also a 21st birthday celebration. He was scheduled to leave about a week before his birthday. Too bad since the party was before his birthday, he could only look at all his alcoholic drinks, not actually drink them! He didn't really mind though. Janelle and I bought him supplies for Basic. Have you ever seen that list? Go to Army.com and take a look! It's definitely strict! We managed to get him white towels and not Disney towels =p After the get together, the girls went out! We went to a dance club/bar on Mill Ave. It made me feel pretty old. Luckily, I look really young! It was a lot of fun to dance again in AZ. Made me miss you Summer!!! Anyway, it was a really fun short trip. Best of luck Kato!!!

In other news, I've been really sick with a bad cold. In fact, I ended up with an ear infection! Am I 5 years old?!

Again, Pennsylvania has been hit with some crazy snow! This time, the town shut down. People were without electricity for days. Wow! But the snow sure is pretty!!

Agreed. Super fun catch up time. I wish we could do that more often!

Good luck, Kato! Thank you so much for serving for the rest of us.

And you are so lucky, Krysta...your hair looks adorable no matter how you cut it...I hate you! Just kidding, I love you and I want your hair! ;)
