Taste of "Home"

Yesterday, I took Whitney to Pittsburgh to celebrate her birthday! The best part is, we drove all the way up there for COFFEE. Yes, coffee! I promised that for her birthday, I would take her to get Seattle's Best Coffee. She is a coffee fanatic, like me, so what better gift could there be?! What started as a coffee adventure, turned into a day of sharing the things I miss from CA and AZ. So, after getting her wonderful Seattle's Best latte (which she LOVED by the way), we also had an Einstein Bagel and then a Panda Express dinner! All 3 were firsts for Whitney and she enjoyed every bit. Along with the tastings came stories of how the MdN cheerleaders would run to Einstein Bagels after practice, just before class... how Jan-Michael and I started sharing our orange chicken from Panada Express... and of course, how I was called "Crème Brûlée Girl" by the baristas at Seattle's Best. As strange as it may be to some people, visiting these places fills me with joy because it reminds me of home. And I'm just happy I could share it with someone =)
