Christmas Is Not Over!

But first, my last picture as a blonde!...
Strangers loved it, but people that know me didn't care for it. It was fun, yet I'm glad I'm brunette again. I never loved it, but I got used to it. Up keep is hard as your roots start to grown in and then the bottom starts getting darker. I would hate to have to keep going in to the salon. My wonderful husband helped me dye it back (I was afraid I might miss a piece or two if I did it myself and end up with random spots of blonde!). Where my hair was blondest, it actually turned auburn! haha!

This past week, Jan's brother Wesley was finally "home". He flew in from CA for Christmas. Yes, our Christmas was a bit late... and yes, that means Jan and I had two! We celebrated the R's family Christmas this past Saturday. We had the usual Christmas dinner and opened gifts. Jan's brother Rich drove up from Pittsburgh and his Grandma Betty was over. Wes surprised his parents with an iTouch for them to show off their many many pictures. Wes also wrapped up a shirt Jan left behind in their old apartment! Jan's Mom, Twillet, fooled me in to thinking I was opening a box of candy when it turned out to be a pink Nintendo DS Lite! Last year, my husband sent me on a scavenger hunt... this year I got a letter from Santa with "forgotten" gifts! I guess you can say our Christmas was full of surprises! Growing up and to this day, the tradition in their family is to pile all the wrapping paper on the floor and then jump in it and toss the paper in the air. They also stayed in their PJs all day/night long!

And now, a thank you to everyone who sent us such special cards and pictures this Christmas =) They were proudly displayed on our bedroom door. (Sorry Cari, the flash hit your cute picture!)
