Civil War... go Yankees!

This weekend, we attended a Civil War reenactment at a local winery in the mountains. We even had to take a hay ride to the encampment! Once we got there, a medic showed us how they would care for wounded soldiers of that time. Then, the woman held a tea party for us! I have no idea where these people come from, but they were really nice. Of course, we were visiting the Northerners. For some reason, we just never made it to the "rebel" camp =p After tea, we headed up to the battle field and watched gun fire and cannons! Yes, the south had a cannon! They made it so it looked like the South was winning, but then the North really won. It was quite a show! I probably took over a hundred pictures, but here's just a few. After the battle, we decided to forgo the itchy hay ride and walk along the vineyards to the car. It was about a mile or so, but we beat those who waited for the wagon!

THANK YOU Summer! I got to buy snowflakes at the Christmas store thanks to his forgetfulness. (Every time Jan forgets to wear his ring, I get to buy something.)
