Besides loving Pirates, Jan LOVES Halloween! He spent all day decorating his apartment and then carving this pumpkin. It is suppose to look like the headless horseman's pumpkin. Scary!

Pirates and Pumpkins
Sometimes we are surprised with amazing displays in CA ... For instance, the Grove in L.A. (it's a shopping center) randomly put up the Black Pearl to support the release of Pirates of the Caribbean 3 on DVD. Tell me WHY they put it up in October when the DVD comes out in December? Anyway, it was quite a sight to see! Incase you all didn't know, Jan is a huge fan of the Pirate movies. He was even Cpt. Jack last Halloween!

Cool Pirate-y stuff. I guess they didn't want it to interfere with their Christmas decorations. That's why they put it up now.
