Field Trip to Huntington Library

Last weekend my sister Kara, and my Dad Glenn, drove to California to pick up my stuff. My Dad has now moved me from AZ to Cali, Cali to AZ, AZ to Cali, and now CA to AZ again! haha! It will all be shipped from AZ to PA. So on top of wedding planning and training new employees at work, I've had to pack and get ready to move across the USA!

During their stay, Domonique and I got to visit the Huntington Library in Pasadena. It is home to 2 of our favorite paintings: Pinkie and Blue Boy. My Dad has had copies of these paintings hanging in our home since before I was born! I always told him that I was going to take them once I was married. Well, instead, I got my own set, only they're 1/3 the size of his. My grandparents have also had a copy of the paintings in their bedroom, so my Dad grew up with them as well!

The funny thing is, these two paintings are always paired together, but were painted like 100 years apart and by two seperate artists! It was wonderful seeing the origionals at the Huntington! They also had beautiful gardens and a library full of old books and origional documents! If you're ever driving through Pasadena, CA- visit the Huntington Library :)
