Kennywood

Kennywood is an adorable theme park near Pittsburgh. It's old too. Really old. Like built in 1898 old! In fact, they have a George Washington statue! Read more of the park's history here. The first time I went was last summer. Once we got to the park, I realized we forgot to bring the memory card for our camera and it was useless. Luckily, one of our friends brought one. However, I did not have copies of the pictures on my computer. I made a book via Shutterfly and have scanned those in. My second trip was when Janelle was in town. We went to their Phantom Fright Nights because the park is not open in the fall- only at night and on weekends for their "Halloween nights". Our final visit was this past week! For those of you on the West Coast, Kennywood reminds me a lot of Knott's Berry Farm. It's old nostalgia, yummy food, and wooden coasters... but in a smaller area.
My Kennywood favorites- I would have to say my favorite rollercoaster is the Thunderbolt. It goes quite fast for being an older wooden coaster. Plus, it goes over and ducks under the newest rollercoaster, Phantom Menace. Phantom Menace is the scariest roller coaster I've ever been on. Not only do you practically shoot straight down, the coaster then goes over the side of the hill and under the Thunderbolt. It is terrifying! Anyway, I also just adore the simple yet freaky Noah's Ark. It is like a fun house on steroids! I also have loved stopping by the arcade, something I would normally never do in a theme park, just to play Deal or No Deal! For years, all I heard about was Kennywood's Potato Patch Fries! Um, don't like them. But I am in love with their slurpee/slush factory.

When you've been to Disneyland 500 times, it's really really fun to experience something new and yet so old.

That looks like fun! I love Knotts Berry Farm! And fast, scary roller coasters are my favorite!!! There is a lot to do in PA...unlike AZ!
