Ever Realize How Long Monopoly Can Take?

Monopoly always sounds like a great game to play.... and once you have enough people over to play it, why not?! I purchased a great new edition of Monopoly at Target on clearance for like $4! It's called: Here and Now Edition. I had to buy it of course because there's a Starbucks Coffee piece AND you can buy/land on Disney World! How fun! Apparently Monopoly was given a modern makeover for today's would-be billionaires. So, as you pass GO, you no longer collect $200... you collect $2 million! It definitely took us a while to get used to the bigger bills and prices.
We decided to play it last night when April, Ellen and Stacey came over. We started the game around 9pm... and weren't even finished by 1:30am! Monopoly always sounds like a fun game to play until you remember how long it takes to actually get a winner! By 1:30am, the two girls left playing decided to quit and declare a winner. Congratulations to Stacey who had something like $1 billion dollars + change!
